Ella Todd - Founder and Managing Director,

After a Degree in Film and Television, Ella’s career started at the BBC’s Natural History Unit in Bristol. After a great two years, she became freelance  working as a producer / director mainly with the BBC and Channel 4. After seven years, in 2008, keen to see environment organisations and charities have access to the benefits of sophisticated film production, she founded Environment Films. Ella is the driving force behind the company and enjoys producing the majority of the productions.

Luke Wolagiewicz - Executive Producer,

With a highly successful career in Photojournalism, Luke brings a world of experience and skills to the company. The combination of Luke’s environmental knowledge, which is exemplary and his contagious enthusiasm and passion for media, not to mention his past achievements as a Producer, make him an invaluable member of the team. Cherique O’Brien - Production Assistant,

In 2008 Cherique left her home in South Africa to start a career within London’s film fraternity. Within days she became PA to the director of the London International Documentary Festival and went on to work at National Geographic. Cherique played a vital role in Environment Films first months, co-ordinated

our launch (and launch party) brilliantly and went on to further develop our structure and push overall progress for the company.

Katie Timmins - Production Assistant,

Katie has campaigned for the natural world her entire adult life, working across the globe rehabilitating and rescuing various species. Katie is an extraordinary and driven individual, who we are delighted to have at Environment films. Aside from working with us, Katie volunteers at Wild Futures the Monkey Sanctuary and is undertaking a diploma in Animal Care and Welfare.

Lauren Simpson - Production Manager,

Having worked as the Director of The Brighton Documentary Film Festival and as a freelance Production Manager for the past 4 years in London, Lauren’s organisation, administration and communication skills are exceptional. She is the first port of call for our new clients and guides initial ideas through to completion effortlessly. Lauren is passionate about climate change and reported from Climate Camp and Copenhagen.

Ben Todd - Head of Camera Department and DOP,

Award winning DOP Ben was instrumental in Environment Films creation, having supported and inspired Founder, Ella Todd when she started the company. Ben is an exceptional DOP, with a remarkable CV, a wealth of experience and huge talent. Aside from shooting, Ben occasionally directs or co-directs some of our productions and is always our first port of call for creative brainstorming sessions.

Kane Williams - Chief Editor / Post Production Department,

Kane’s talents have led him to work on productions such as Wallander, Tess of The D’Urbervilles, Burn Up and Heaven among many others.

Kane and Ella first worked together in 1998 and after 12 years Kane is still Ella’s first choice for the editing of Environment Films productions.

Most recently Kane edited ‘Soi Dogs’, ‘The Great Walk’ and ‘Travelling Light’ and he is currently working on ‘Wild Stories’ and ‘Making the Connection’.

The Environment Films team grows and subsides depending on the various stages of our productions.

Hannah Dorey - Production Co-ordinator,

Hannah has worked in TV production for 5 years, co-ordinating a variety of studio shows, live events and promos.  Most recently, she worked for BBC Entertainment but has also done stints at MTV and Disney.  She loves filming in the great outdoors but is also happy in front of a spreadsheet.  Hannah is very interested in conservation of the natural world and regularly volunteers at the London Wildlife Trust.
